The Hotel Kanglhachen located within walking distance of main Leh Bazar is a warm and comfortable family run Heritage Hotel that offers stunning views of Namgyal Tsemo, a Monastery built in the 15th century by King Tashi Namgyal. Built in classic Ladakhi architecture style, the 25 room Hotel is situated within an oasis of willow, apple and apricot trees. It is owned and operated by a family descended from trans Himalayan Traders who used to ply the famed silk route that connected central Asia with the Indian sub-continent and other Himalayan regions between 1845 till 1965.
During the summer season Kanglhachen is pleased to serve its guests fresh organic vegetables from our garden within the Hotel complex, which is unique in Leh for being fed by a private spring. The hotel has plenty of parking and outdoor space where guests can lounge about and relax before heading out on a day recursions in and around Leh or preparing for more adventurous trips further afield.
